We developed this custom tail section in the spirit of the Rennsport RS54.

It is called RS-V.1 because we plan to make other variations of the tail available in the future.

The front portion of the tail is the same as our other Café Tails, so the Seat Pans fit this tail also.

You must “chop out” a section of the OEM BMW sub frame, just behind the upper shock mounts, to fit this tail.

So you or someone you know will need some metal working abilities and tools.

This tail has the bracket mounted into the back end the same as our other tails.

Seat Pans

Raised in the front to hide the gap under the gas tank.  All seat pans fit both Short Wheel Base and Long Wheel Base tails.

The size of gas tank will determine which seat pan you will need.

Short Pan to be used with the larger 24 liter (6.3 gallon) gas tanks. (such as Slash 7, R90S, R80 and R100)

The tang on the front of the tail will slide into

the main frame tube (backbone).

Here, the tang is in the main frame tube.

Cafe Tails come with the mounting bracket

glassed in for you.

The mounting bracket will fit onto the the flat loop protruding out and down from the back of the sub frame.

Here, the Cafe Tail is in position and bolted

to the sub frame.

PLEASE READ

Our fiberglass parts are unfinished.  This means you will need to sand, prime and paint the part.  You will also need to drill any holes necessary to mount the part.  Mounting hardware is not included, only the replacement fiberglass part.  If any hardware is included with the part, it will be stated in the description.

NOTE: Occasionally there may be surface imperfections that will need to be sanded or filled and leveled.  Some parts may have flashing that will need to be sanded, filled and leveled.

Air bubbles are an inherent problem with hand laid fiberglass.

Occasionally you may expose an air bubble while sanding the surface.  Any air bubbles will need to be filled, sanded and leveled.
